Time Gathering Systems “native” Time & Attendance for IBM Power Server/System i Clients
Time Gathering 400™ for the IBM System i Server/Power Server Family is a fully automated time and attendance solution. Today, organizations are under increasing pressure to improve productivity, manage labor resources more effectively, control costs and provide better services with fewer resources than ever before. All of this requires the power of an automated system that can provide appropriate time & labor management capabilities. Most organizations agree that the immediate benefits of automating time & labor management are to eliminate paperwork and streamline payroll processing. Additionally, automation can free the administrators, supervisors, payroll staff and employees to perform other functions.
With a manual system, there is no way to keep a tight handle on researching disputes, coding labor levels, keeping records and abiding by Federal and State regulations. TG/400 served by the IBM System i™ product delivers an electronic solution that is not only user friendly, but also delivers the best of today’s technology on a secure platform that provides growth and expansion.
TG for Infinium Payroll is fully integrated with the payroll master files and the existing employee database, so the end-user does not have redundant employee databases to support and manage. All Time Clock data is reported real-time for review and editing purposes prior to processing. A Custom Version is available for Infinium Casino Users.
TG Scalable Sockets Server
Time Clock with Biometrics & HID
TG Sockets Server provides a reliable, efficient and scalable solution for time & attendance transaction processing. The Time Clock acts as a communications client to the IBM System Server and connects only when transactions are available to process. If the Host Server is unavailable due to maintenance activity or network failure, transactions are stored on the Time Clock until the Host Server is available, at which time all transactions are forwarded to the Centralized Server.
The Communications Server handles multiple simultaneous transactions from any number of Time Clocks as well as other types of 2-way IP addressable Data Collection Devices. Because the server is not “polling” the Time Clock impact on the system utilization is minimal. The TG/Sockets Communications Server “automatically” starts on the System i and provides advanced system management function such as error messaging via system operator, SMTP email, and SNMP network management protocol. The TG/Sockets Communications Module provides detailed diagnostic logging, automatic restart, and open systems TCP communications interfaces. TCP secure sockets Connectivity is also utilized by other platforms and operating systems such as MVS, AIX, UNIX & Microsoft Windows.
